Overheard and Shout Outs: September 7, 2018

OVERHEARD

Are there tid-bits of conversations you’ve heard while standing in line at the grocery store, serving a table, or walking down the sidewalk that make you smile, cringe or laugh out loud?

“Do you have a cellphone or are you hiding in the woods?”

“Is it wrong that I miss fried cheese more than my family?”

“The only thing is that sociopaths are usually charming.”

“I had a mic in my pants.”

“I miss biking in my head.”

“Is he passive aggressive or just stupid?”

SHOUT OUTS

Is there someone or something that deserves a pat on the back or a slap on the wrist?

Gratitude to the saxophone player on the east side of Kangaroo Lake, thank you. From a westsider who’s tired of jet ski noises.

Shout out to the Sister Bay Lions Club for helping youngsters build boats at Marina Fest.

Slap on the wrist to a driver on County V who was pulling over to pass (in a non-passing zone) when I had my left blinker on.
