Pastel Brilliance

“Windfall and Copper” by Bonnie Paruch.

Bonnie Paruch, a signature member of the Pastel Society of America (PSA), has once again been selected to show her work in the annual PSA’s Exhibition in New York City. This 42nd exhibition, “Enduring Brilliance” will run from September 2 through September 27 at the National Arts Club in Gramercy Park. In her five previous exhibitions she has garnered three awards including; the prestigious Catherine Lorillard Wolfe award, the Marie Devor Memorial award and (the founders) Vincent Giffuni purchase award.

Her painting, entitled “Windfall and Copper”, inspired by Door County’s orchard bounty, was one of fewer than 180 selected from a field of 1,222 submissions from all across America. Bonnie’s plein air and studio pastels have been featured in The Artist Magazine, Pastel Artist International, International Artist Magazine and American Artist Magazine among others.

Bonnie’s summer studio at 11249 County Road ZZ, Sister Bay, is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am until 4 pm. She has a new winter studio in Green Valley, Arizona. Visits are made by appointment by calling 920.421.1616.
