PenArt to Host 19th AIS Annual National Juried Exhibit

The American Impressionist Society’s (AIS) 19th Annual National Juried Exhibit will be held Sept. 27 to Oct. 28 at the Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek. More than $65,000 in cash and merchandise awards will be presented, including a $12,000 cash award for Best of Show. This year’s exhibit features approximately 175 juried paintings. The online catalog of the entire exhibition is now available for viewing on the AIS website, americanimpressionistsociety.org.

The opening reception and awards presentation is Sept. 27, 5-8 pm at the gallery. AIS Master Dawn Whitelaw will serve as the Judge of Awards and also present a workshop and painting demonstration Sept. 24-26. Other programs include a gallery tour, panel discussion, group demo, a lecture on the “lineage of color” by Kami Mendlik, a lecture on studio safety by Gamblin Artist Oils and an all-member paintout.
