Photography Featured at Gills Rock Coffee

GT Coffee, once adjacent to the former Charlene’s Gallery Ten in Gills Rock, is now open under a new name as Gills Rock Coffee, but the same folks are behind the counter. Dewey Risenhoover is now assisted by his wife Charlene Berg, former gallery director.

Open daily from 8 am – 3 pm, Gills Rock Coffee will feature the work of one dedicated artist for the entire summer season. This year, the work of Denny Moutray, a photographer from Gills Rock, will be on exhibit.

“On January 1, 2010 I retired after more than 35 years in the corporate world,” said Moutray. “Now my spouse of 40 years, Peggy, and I are enjoying our grandchildren and our summer home in Gills Rock. We spend winters in Austin, TX.” Most of Moutray’s images feature these two locations.

Moutray’s photography will “debut” at Gills Rock Coffee on Memorial Weekend and remain up for the season.
