Pioneer Girls Hoopsters Win at Reedsville

Sevastopol’s girls basketball team won its second consecutive game of the new year with a 59-45 non-conference victory Thursday at Reedsville.

The Pioneers, who led 29-24 at halftime, had two players end up with more than 20 points. Kayla Ranly recorded a game-high 22 points, which included three three-pointers. Naomi Rikkola added 21 points with three more three-pointers.

The Panthers were led by Mallory Novi with 21 p[oints. Mercedes Grimm added 17 points.

Sevastopol, which improved to 9-2 overall and is 4-1 in the Packerland Conference, Returns to action Saturday with a conference game at NEW Lutheran.
