Police Identify Man Killed in Peninsula State Park Fall Sunday

The 70-year-old Elkhart, Ind., man who fell 100 feet to his death while reportedly hiking Eagle Terrace Trail in Peninsula State Park on Sept. 23 has been identified as Philip Miller. Officers with the Door County Sheriff’s Dept. responded at 2:24 pm to the Eagle Bluff Lookout area in the park after the report of a man having fallen from the cliff. Emergency services personnel had to rappel the cliff to reach Miller. He had been hiking the park with his wife when he slipped over the edge.
