The Clay on Steele pottery studio and gallery, 221 Steele St. in Algoma, is gearing up for its spring classes. Eight pottery wheels, kilns and lots of tools and clay will be available to students who are interested in learning how to make beautiful, functional clay forms.
Clay on Steele offers several learning options. During a two-hour session, learn the basics of working on the potter’s wheel. During a two-day session, learn how to throw a form and then trim the work. A six-week course includes learning and practicing throwing on a potter’s wheel and glazing. All materials are included.
