Artistic Director Merle Colburn invites all who love to sing in a choir to join The Peninsula Singers. Rehearsals for the Singers’ annual Christmas concerts will begin Sept. 29. Membership in The Peninsula Singers is open to anyone who can sing – or learn to sing – in harmony, enjoys the challenge of mastering a variety of music, and then presenting it in concert.
New and returning Singers will gather at the Sturgeon Bay United Methodist Church, Michigan Street at Ninth Avenue, on Sept. 29 at 6:15 pm for a social hour with practice session beginning at 7 pm. Many of the Singers were or are in church, school or civic choirs. Dues remain at $25 per season. Rehearsals are every Monday evening from 7 – 9 pm, alternating between the Sturgeon Bay and Egg Harbor United Methodist churches. Carpooling is available.
This year’s concerts will be the evening of Dec. 13 and the afternoon of Dec. 14. More information, including a list of the music, can be found at thepeninsulasingers.org.
