Residential Facility Employee Admits to Theft

At the end of December, police were notified that a 97-year-old resident of a community-based residential facility might be the victim of a theft. Through an investigative operation, police identified the suspect as an employee of the facility. The suspect, a 39-year-old female from Kewaunee, was stealing money from the resident’s wallet that was kept in a dresser. The suspect was arrested and admitted to the thefts. The case has been referred to the DA’s office for criminal charges.
