Rogue Theater Announces 2024 Season

Community theater troupe Rogue Theater will perform six shows from March to December 2024.

The season starts with Rogue’s annual murder-mystery dinner show, which supports local restaurants during the off-season. This year’s show is Sam Club, Private Eye, in The Case of the Malted Falcon. The titular investigator is guarding a priceless chocolate sculpture when it’s stolen en route to a New York City gallery. The thief could be any of the wacky cast of characters – and when one is murdered, it’s up to the audience to guess whodunnit.

Next up is a timeless love story, On Golden Pond, by Ernest Thompson. The story follows a new bond between a teenage boy and elderly couple living in their summer home on Golden Pond.

The summer heats up with Heroes, a dramedy by Tom Stoppard and Gerald Sibleyras. In it, three World War One veterans plot their escape from a 1950s nursing home, despite war wounds, agoraphobia and fainting spells.

Clue: On Stage is next. The comedic murder-mystery follows six mysterious guests who meet at a remote mansion for a dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu.

Fall makes way for drama, with Rogue Theater bringing Jeffrey Hatcher’s adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde to the stage. The two title characters play a deadly game of cat-and-mouse in this shocking version of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale.

Rogue will ring in the holidays with Hallelujah Girls, a heartfelt comedy by Jamie Wooten, Jessie Jones and Nicholas Hope. After the sudden death of a dear friend, a feisty group of women vow to change their lives and achieve their dreams.
