Santa Fe Shop Exhibits Don Standing Bear’s Necklaces

The Santa Fe Shop & Gallery in Fish Creek exhibits the necklaces of Don Standing Bear, whose vision is to further expand his horizons, sharing the gift of creativity the Great Spirit has blessed him with.

Born in Massachusetts, Don Standing Bear’s familial background has been influential in his pursuit of his native heritage and artistic expressions. In 1975, he followed his dream and moved to Alaska where he attended the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Since 2004, Don has expanded his artwork to other areas of the United States. During the summer of 2005 he spent five weeks on the “powwow trail” exhibiting his work, and subsequently, Don has been invited to participate in a number of national art shows.
