Saturday Story Hour Begins at Ridges Sanctuary

Illustrator/artist Pat Dobrinska is having a book signing and reading of her children’s book, I Love You… Unconditionally, written by Wisconsin author Kelly Condon, at The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor. Families are invited to meet Dobrinska and get a signed, personalized copy of the book. The original paintings, seen as illustrations in the book, will also be available for viewing and purchase from Jan. 20 to Feb. 19.

The opening for the paintings will be Jan. 20, 4 – 6 pm, and the book signing/reading is Jan. 21, 11 am – 12 pm. These events are free, open to the community and held at the Cook-Albert Fuller Center, 8166 Hwy. 57 in Baileys Harbor.

Families are also invited to join The Ridges staff on Saturdays for Story Hour. This year, staff will read nature-themed books featuring local authors and then show how to make a related craft for the kids to take home. Some stories will be read by the authors themselves. Upcoming books are: Jan. 21 – I Love You… Unconditionally, illustrated and read by Pat Dobrinska; Jan. 28 – Holey Moley by Lois Ehlert; Feb. 4 – Mr. McGinty’s Monarchs, written and read by Linda Vander Heyden. All readings begin at 11 am at the Cook-Albert Fuller Center.
