Sharon Auberle: Door County’s New Poet Laureate

At the March 28 meeting of the Door County Board of Supervisors, a resolution was approved making Sharon Auberle the fifth Door County Poet Laureate since the position was established in 2010. She assumes the role from Ralph Murre. Auberle’s term will run through March 31, 2019. It is an uncompensated position, and the primary mission of the poet laureate us to raise the county’s consciousness to a greater appreciation of the reading and writing of poetry.
