Sievers School of Fiber Arts is marking its 44th year of teaching classes in weaving, knitting, quilting, basketry, surface design, beadwork and more starting June 2. Sievers’ classes – more than 35 scheduled through October – welcome all levels of adult students to spend uninterrupted time learning from knowledgeable, encouraging instructors in a remote, tranquil setting.
The Sievers Shop, located in an 1890-built schoolhouse, is open daily, 10 am – 4 pm, to sell original fiber arts and fine crafts handmade by 80-plus artists – jewelry, baskets, handwovens, home accessories, gifts and wearables – and a wide array of quality knitting and weaving yarns, patterns, books, fiber-arts supplies and more.
