Sister Bay Seeking Fall Fest Input

• The Sister Bay Advancement Association is hosting a community-wide meeting to discuss ideas for improving its annual Fall Festival. The meeting is open to everyone and all comments and suggestions are welcome. The meeting will be held Jan. 13 from 6 – 8 pm at the Sister Bay Fire Station, 2258 Mill Road. • The Door County League of Women Voters is offering forums for contested races in the spring election. The League urges citizens or candidates interested in a candidate forum to contact Voter Service Committee Members Martha Beller at 920.493.2262 or Victoria Cerinich at 920.559.7337 to request a forum by Jan. 11. The LWV will sponsor forums in contested races and only if at least two candidates agree to participate.

• The Tony Shalhoub movie Feed the Fish will be released on DVD Jan. 25. For more on the movie, which was filmed in Door County in the winter of 2009, visit http://www.feedthefishmovie.com.

• The Town of Jacksonport is seeking applications for the part-time position of Town Clerk. The current salary is $13,304 per year. Work hours are often flexible, but require some night meetings. Candidates must have strong organizational, computer and interpersonal skills. Experience with Excel and QuickBooks is a plus.

• The Town of Sevastopol will hold a public hearing to discuss four ordinances Jan. 17 at 6 pm. Ordinances concerning “public nuisance,” the “keeping of animals,” the “control of dogs,” and “regulations on outside storage, unsightly premises and hazards” will all be discussed.
