Sister Bay Village Hall Hosts Autumn Amish Quilt Show & Sale

The Autumn Amish Quilt Show & Sale will be held at the Sister Bay Village Hall in downtown Sister Bay from 9 am – 5 pm, October 7 – 10.

Over 70 traditional, handmade Amish quilts in a variety of popular styles, patterns, and colors will be on display. In addition, a wide selection of Amish made wall hangings, pillows, table runners, place mats, pot holders, table centers, spice mats, rugs, Amish dolls, and miniature quilts will also be on display and for sale.

Traditional Amish bentwood hickory rocking chairs with matching side tables, handcrafted by Clarence Gingerich, will be on display, along with a selection of Amish baskets, handcrafted by Emma and Samuel Swartzentruber.

A variety of books on quilting patterns and Amish quilt trends will be available including Tips For Quilters, recipe books, paperback books highlighting many aspects of Amish life and children’s books.

Back by popular demand is Mattie Miller’s Cashew Crunch. Amish noodles, peanut butter, and Yoder popcorn will also be available.

An entry fee of $1 will be charged at the door. Children age 8 and under are admitted free, but must be attended by an adult at all times. Attendees have a chance to sign up for a drawing to win a handmade Amish basket. The winner need not be present to win.

The Amish Quilt Show & Sale is sponsored by the Jacksonport Craft Cottage, located at 6275 Highway 57 in Jacksonport.
