Hill 17 in Peninsula State Park offers golfers an incredible treetop view during the summer and fall, but as soon as the first major snowfall arrives, it’s time for a cherished Door County pastime: flying down the hill on a sled. Whether on a tube or toboggan, you and yours are sure to pick up speed. Then it’s back to the top and down again – all day long if you like.

Difficulty: Going down? Easy. Going up? Also fairly easy – the first few times.

Fun factor: High, of course
