Snowshoe at Whitefish Dunes

The public will have a number of opportunities to learn to snowshoe or to participate in snowshoe hikes each weekend throughout February at Whitefish Dunes State Park. There will also be a nature workshop Feb. 28 at 1 pm where participants can learn to identify different trees, understand how bark grows and create a bark pendent to take home. Meet at the Nature Center. Some events could be cancelled due to inclement weather. Call the park to confirm events will be held at 920.823.2400.

Discover Snowshoeing Feb. 7 and 14 at 9 am and Feb. 15 at 1 pm learn to “float on snow” and be active this winter. Follow the naturalist on a fun exploration hike. Meet at the Nature Center.

Winter Hike Feb. 7 and 21 at 1 pm. Get out and explore nature on snowshoes. Hike in search of animal tracks and other clues to uncover the secret lives of animals at the park and in your yard. Meet at the Nature Center.
