Southern Door Hall of Fame Inductees Named

The Southern Door Athletic Hall of Fame has announced its two inductees for 2024 – Mitchel Neubauer, a 2015 Southern Door High School graduate, and Tory Jandrin, a 2017 graduate.

The induction ceremony for Neubauer and Jandrin will take place Feb. 9 during halftime of the Southern Door girls basketball game against Kewaunee in the Eagle Gym. Game time is 7:30 pm.

Neubauer is a 12-varsity letter winner in football, basketball and baseball. He was a Packerland All-Conference Player of the Year in back-to-back sports his senior year in football and basketball and received many All-Conference awards in all three sports as an Eagle.

After high school, Neubauer attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he studied criminology and was also a part of the UW-Whitewater baseball team. After a year, he transferred to UW-Stevens Point, where he played on the football team for three seasons and on the baseball team for one season.

In fall of 2019, Neubauer attended the Mid-State Law Enforcement Academy and was hired in spring of 2020 as a police officer for the city of Wisconsin Rapids. He graduated from UW-Stevens Point in spring of 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a criminal justice minor and a coaching certificate. 

After deciding law enforcement was not for him, Neubauer is now an electrician in La Crosse. In his spare time, he coaches football at Onalaska High School.

Tory Jandrin

Jandrin is a 12-varsity letter winner in football, wrestling and baseball. He was a Packerland All-Conference football linebacker and running back as well as the Defensive Player of the Year his junior and senior year.  Jandrin was also a Packerland All-Conference wrestler qualifying for state twice – taking fourth and second his junior and senior year. 

In baseball, he was an All-Conference pitcher for three years. 

After high school, Jandrin attended UW-Oshkosh, where he furthered his sports career in wrestling and football, and earned many collegiate awards. He graduated with a Business Administration Degree.

Jandrin currently resides in the Forestville area, where he works for Jandrin Refrigeration. In his spare time, he runs his own side refrigeration maintenance business. He also has begun to put some time into coaching youth wrestling and high school football at Southern Door.

He also enjoys hunting and fishing.
