Southern Door To Host Chess Tournament

The Southern Door Chess Club will host its third annual Door County Classic chess tournament March 13 at Southern Door High School. Team trophies will be awarded to the top three teams in three different divisions: k-3, k-6, and k-12, and individual trophies will be awarded at all three levels through 5th place.

Check in begins at 8 am and the first round of play starts at 9:30am. The cost is $10 if you pre-register online and $15 at the tournament. Pre-register at http://www.wisonsinscholasticchess.org before by 11 pm on March 11.

Lunch and snacks will be sold throughout the day, with all proceeds going to the Southern Door Chess Club. The award ceremony will be held immediately after the final round at approximately 4 pm.
