Southern Door Youth Wrestlers Compete in State Championship

Four Southern Door Eagle wrestlers advanced to the Wisconsin Wrestling Federation’s Kids Folkstyle State Championships in Madison March 22-23. Of 30 representing Southern Door, Nora LeFevre and Hailey Veeser finished first in their brackets at their qualifying meets, and Jade Wrenn and Oliver Wilke placed second at their qualifiers. This was the second straight trip to Madison for LeFevre, Veeser and Wrenn.

Nine others – with third-place finishes – just missed advancing, but Clark LeFevre, with a third-place finish in his qualifier, was selected to fill an opening in a bracket in Madison. He joined his sister Nora as a two-time state qualifier.
