Still Time to See ‘Dad’s Season Tickets’

Northern Sky Theater is performing two student matinees of Dad’s Season Tickets this month for four of the Door County school districts.

“Offering student matinees has been a challenge in the past, since we were always limited by our rental spaces during the school year,” said marketing director Ann Birnschein. “However, with our new Gould Theater, we had the opportunity to bring about this long-term goal.”

Dad’s Season Tickets is a musical comedy that celebrates family, folly and football. Matt Zembrowski wrote it to try to bridge the gap between two lifelong loves: sports and the performing arts.

In addition to attending a performance, teachers and students will have the chance to ask questions of the writer during a post-show talk-back. Teachers also received a show guide to prepare students to better understand how both Shakespeare and the Green Bay Packers inspired the play.

The public may purchase any tickets that remain for the Oct. 25, 10 am, performance by calling the box office at 920.854.6117 or visiting NorthernSkyTheater.com.
