Students Honored at Sturgeon Bay Breakfast Rotary Club’s Luncheon

The Sturgeon Bay Breakfast Rotary Club honored these students for their achievements in the arts on May 5.

The Sturgeon Bay Breakfast Rotary Club’s 12th annual luncheon honoring students who made outstanding achievements in the arts was held May 5 at Crossroads at Big Creek. Guest speaker Alan Kopischke, executive director of Birch Creek Music Performance Center, emphasized that creativity is important to problem solving in the adult world.

The students honored were: Willie Franke, Anya Kopischke, and Ainsley Nelson, Gibraltar; Maggie Behme, Dominique Bowers, Sean McDowell, Amanda Newman, Sam Potier, and Dylan Thornton, Sevastopol; Austin Daoust, Brandi Hernandez, Hannah Johanski, Kaira Rouer, and Luke Spude, Southern Door; Taylor Becker, Monica Depies, Hugo Garcia, Natalie Rose and Eric Storlie, Sturgeon Bay; and Emily Dompke, Washington Island.

Kopischke was announced as the winner of the Rotary Club’s first scholarship for an outstanding arts student.
