Sturgeon Bay City Council Candidate Forum is Feb. 27

The League of Women Voters of Door County is sponsoring a Candidate Forum for Sturgeon Bay City Council candidates on Monday, Feb. 27, at 7 pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 421 Michigan St. The forum is an opportunity for the public to become acquainted with the candidates:

• District 1: Kelly Catarozoli, and Dan Wiegand
• District 3: Martha Scully-Beller and David Ward
• District 5: Brian Peterson
• District 7: Laurel Hauser and Joe McMahon

A forum is held to help voters select the most qualified, best-suited person for the office. It is not a debate. The event consists of anonymously written questions from the audience or received in advance at the League email: [email protected]. Each candidate will have an equal opportunity to share their positions and views with the public. The forum will be videotaped and aired on the public access cable channel in Sturgeon Bay. It will also be available for circulation at the Sturgeon Bay Library. In case of inclement weather, the forum will be held on the following day, Tuesday, Feb. 28.
