Successful Solstice Run

Crossroads at Big Creek had approximately 500 people grace their trails on the morning of the summer solstice, June 20. With 402 runners registered, 40 plus volunteers and many spectators attending the Crossroads Trail Run, the environmental learning preserve was a busy place. Due to the participants and loyal major sponsors (Sturgeon Bay Utilities, Evergreen Nursery and Ministry Door County Medical Center), Friends of Crossroads raised funds to help upgrade their 20-year-old cross country ski equipment and build storage shelving to share with the Door County community this winter.

The Crossroads’ annual trail run is a community adventure, attracting people from all over Door County, many who are members of the Run the Door running circuit. Run the Door, is a free venue for those people of all ages who wish to participate in one or more of the 14 running events this year in Door County. For more information visit runthedoor.com.
