The Junior Nature Club – intended for preschool-aged children and their companions – will meet outdoors Oct. 12, 10 am, for about an hour, to talk about bird migration. Meet on the porch of the Collins Learning Center.

Dr. Ray Faber will discuss his ongoing research to better understand herring gull populations – including reproductive challenges the gulls face and how conservation efforts are changing their populations – on Oct. 13, 7 pm. The introduction will recall Harold Wilson’s historic gull work, which was collected by Kathleen Harris of the Ephraim Historical Society.
