Sweet Peprika

Sweet Pepprika will perform as a part of the Woodwalk Concert Series on July 9 at 7 pm. The female vocal trio includes Diane Compton, Barbara Eulenberg, and Mary Launder who recreate the unique live sound of the Boswell sisters, a popular New Orleans based vocal trio of the 1930s.

Sweet Pepprika has created unique arrangements of standards from that era and beyond. Their repertoire includes music by George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jonny Mercer, Irving Berlin, and more. Accompanied by one of Door County’s favorite guitarists George Sawyn, Sweet Pepprika is an enjoyable musical experience, a nostalgic visit to a lighthearted world.

Jeanne Kuhns, the host of the concert series, will open the show. Sweetie Pies of Fish Creek will be on site with goodies and drinks for sale.
