The Clearing Presents Winter Works

The Clearing invites the public to enjoy the work of its 2012 Winter Program students during its annual Student Exhibit scheduled for March 3 and 4 at the Sister Bay Village Hall from 10 am – 4 pm each day. The exhibit is the culmination of a wonderful winter season as students show off their hard work and talent! Highlights include original works of art, fine crafts and other projects created during The Clearing’s Winter Program classes. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

The Clearing Folk School’s 2012 Winter Program offered more than 110 classes in the arts, fine crafts, natural sciences and humanities during January and February. This annual program is made possible through the contributions of time and talent by an all-volunteer faculty of 87 instructors who teach in The Clearing’s informal hands-on folk school tradition. Classes are held on The Clearing campus in Ellison Bay and in homes and business locations throughout the county. A number of classes are also held out of doors with many opportunities for guided hiking “off the beaten path” in cooperation with the Door County Land Trust, The Nature Conservancy, The Ridges Sanctuary and Newport State Park.
