The Ridges Hosts Volunteer Work Day

The Ridges’ volunteers work at ‘getting the chips down.’

To help prepare The Ridges Sanctuary for winter, the park is holding a Volunteer Work Day on Saturday, October 2. Members and non-members of all ages are invited to help with a variety of indoor and outdoor projects. The day will feature jobs for all levels of expertise.

The Volunteer Work Day will run from 8:30 am – 12 pm. Volunteers can arrive at any time and spend whatever amount of time they wish working on projects.

The Ridges’ staff will again serve their special Killer Chili at noon. Wheelbarrow rides will be available on a first come-first served basis. Participants who bring a friend will each get a copy of Celebrating Door County’s Wild Places.

The Ridges Sanctuary is located just north of Baileys Harbor at 8288 Highway Q. For more information call 920.839.2802.
