Town Starts Work On Parks Plan

Jacksonport Parks Committee members in December agreed that they should consider trail or bicycle-route connectivity between town parks and natural areas as they work this winter on a Jacksonport Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan.

Committee members also discussed a lack of use of the space near the fire station and town hall, the general distribution of town parks and a desire for a safe route from Schauer Park to Cave Point County Park.

Committee members accepted assignments to work on different portions of the plan for Parks Committee Chair Les Kiehnau to compile in February.
