Vases, Bird Portraits and Landscapes at Plum Bottom

Plum Bottom Pottery & Gallery invites the community to Art Show 3 on April 8, 10 am – 4 pm. Come see Door County’s own Chad Luberger and his new ikebana vases, Molly Cranch’s bird portraits, and Mary White’s landscape paintings.

Luberger’s porcelain vases take inspiration from ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement. The elegant vases make it easy to bring nature and humanity together using living branches, leaves, grasses, and blossoms. These forms can hang on the wall or sit on a table, and are just right as an exquisite centerpiece.

Cranch’s paintings are just the thing you need when feeling winter weary or spring cheery. Her paintings reflect a connection with nature, and her subject ranges from chubby birds, robins, cardinals, goldfinches and hummingbirds to toads, turtles and dragonflies.

Rounding out the trio is Door County painter Mary White. Her Door County-inspired work comes alive with bright colors and textures. Her paintings can be small jewels or larger intrigues. “ I love being able to work in a variety of sizes, which makes my original work accessible to all,” said White. “Our breathtaking vistas, wildlife, wonderful forests and fantastic lakes give me endless ideas and possibilities.”

Plum Bottom Pottery & Gallery is open 10 am – 4 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. To visit go 15 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay or five minutes south of Egg Harbor on Highway 42 then east to 4999 Plum Bottom Rd.
