Veterans Day Concert in Algoma

The Algoma Community Band and Community Chorus will present their annual Veterans Day concert on Nov. 12 in the Performing Arts Center at 7 pm. The band is under the direction of Tom Mueller and the chorus by Dave Robertson.

The community band and chorus will feature a variety of American songs including “America the Beautiful” sung by Melissa Scheck and accompanied by the band. The “Sound of Music” will have vocal soloists: Melissa Scheck and Dave Robertson from the community chorus and instrumentation by the community band. Guest conductors for a couple of numbers will be Dave Kopetsky and John Nielsen.

There is no admission fee for the concert; however, donations are welcome and are tax deductible. A reception will take place following the concert in the school cafeteria in honor of our veterans.
