Victoria Vox Returns to Holiday Music Motel

Victoria Vox

Victoria Vox returns to The Holiday Music Motel on April 19 at 7 pm to release her latest CD, Key. While a full band helps her fill out the sounds on the record, Vox will perform solo, a fitting choice for the intimate setting of The Holiday Music Motel.

In 2011, Vox challenged herself to learn 52 cover songs in a year and, in 2012, followed it up with the 52 Original Song Project. Her fans pre-purchased a year’s worth of mp3s and became “subscribers” to her song project, to support her during her year off-the-road. At the Holiday concert, she will perform selections from the 52 Original Song Project.

Small Forest

Vox, an award-winning songwriter, has taken the artful sound of the ukulele into eclectic new directions. Her music ranges from upbeat and clever to honest and moving, while incorporating her signature “mouth trumpet” and occasionally singing in French.

On April 24 at 7 pm, Small Forest will perform at the Holiday Music Motel with Seth Raddatz opening.

A staple to the Door County music scene, Jeanne Kuhns’ new band Small Forest features local musical favorites, daughter Marybeth Mattson on guitar and vocals and Patrick Palmer on bass. They perform playful, original folk-pop-rock with three-part harmonies.

Tickets to each concert are $10 and can be reserved online at http://www.HolidayMusicMotel.com/tickets or by calling 920.743.5571.
