Vikings Beaten by Blazers in Girls Basketball

Gibrlatar’s girls basketball team trailed 24-15 at halftime Monday and ended up losing at home in Packerland Conference action to NEW Lutheran, 44-42.

“The end-of-game performance should be commended, but we can’t be satisfied with those starts to games, because we do not have consistent enough offensive firepower to dig ourselves out of the holes we continually put ourselves in,” said Vikings head coach Evan DeBroux.

Andie Schar led Gibraltar with 16 points. Mikala Gorham added 11 points.

Ingrid Beaumont led the Blazers with a game-high 24 points. Claire Willis added 14 points.

The Vikings, who dropped to 4-6 in the conference and 6-8 overall, return to action Friday with a league game at Oconto.
