Volunteers Needed for Children’s Christmas Stores

Door County 4-H is excited to once again host the Children’s Christmas Stores to offer youth an opportunity to purchase low-cost gifts for the holidays while learning about budgeting, giving and decision making. There will be two stores this year for children to shop at: Nov. 18, 10:30 am – 2 pm, Bay View Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Bay; and Nov. 25, 11:30 am – 2 pm, Bertschinger Center, Egg Harbor. At the Christmas Stores, parents choose a budget and a volunteer elf is provided for each child to assist them in shopping and wrapping. This experience helps teach children about giving, budgeting and decision-making.

Volunteers are needed to help at the stores. Volunteers will help children shop and wrap their gifts. There are a variety of time shifts available for each store, and different roles for volunteers. If interested in volunteering, call Dawn at 920.746.2260.
