Walker Approves $409,357 for Local Bridge Deck Improvement

Gov. Scott Walker recently approved $409,357 to improve bridge decks in the counties of Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc and Sheboygan. The project begins Monday, June 5, and concludes July 12. Work consists of resealing existing concrete bridge decks on various highways in each county to prolong the life of the bridge deck. Norcon Corp. of Schofield, Wis. is the prime contractor. Typical bridge sealing operations will be completed in less than one day. Traffic impacts include lane closures, flagging operations or lane shifts. Specific deck sealing locations and traffic impacts will be announced weekly on the Northeast Region Weekly Highway Construction Update website at https://projects.511wi.gov/weeklyupdates-ne/. Motorists are reminded deck sealing operations are a construction work zone. Please use caution and remain alert when driving through this or any work zone.
