Wanted: Door County Bookmobile Memories

The Egg Harbor Historical Society needs help identifying some of the eager youngsters being welcomed to the bookmobile by Ralph Arnold, driver/librarian. Surely, there’s someone who would like to claim to be the studious lad with the armful of books. Who, where and when?

Recently the Egg Harbor Historical Society (EHHS) took possession of the historic Door County Bookmobile and will be restoring it with plans of putting it to use for EHHS and other related functions throughout the county. In addition to restoration, the EHHS will write the story of the Door County Bookmobile Service, which served rural youth and adults for four decades starting in 1950.
