Wellness Center Hosts Bluegrass In The Garden

The Wellness Center of Door County invites everyone to a free Bluegrass concert on Thursday, August 28 from 4 – 7 pm on the lawn of Fine Line Design Gallery in Ephraim. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and celebrate the fantastic services of the Wellness Center with this free concert, surrounded by the beautiful outdoor sculptures and gardens at Fine Line Design. Italian Sausage, soft drinks and water will be for sale and there will be a drawing at 6:30 pm for prizes donated by area establishments.

This event provides an opportunity for individuals to learn about the Wellness Center and its services, give a donation which will help the center expand and continue their work to provide reproductive health care in a professional, confidential and compassionate way.

Performing at the concert will be “Highland Road,” a six-piece bluegrass band comprised of local musicians, Andy Coulson on banjo, Tad Gilster on guitar, Rick Gordon on bass, Tony Gebauer on mandolin, Lynn Gudmundsen on fiddle, and Rich Higdon on percussion. Jeanne Kuhns and Lynn Gudmundsen will also perform their progressive folk music. All the musicians are donating their time and talent for this Wellness Center Benefit.

The Wellness Center is Door County’s only dedicated Family Planning Clinic, and is continually adding new services and personal to better serve this community. It is known for providing a welcoming, safe, friendly and affordable place for men and women to come and receive reproductive health care in a nonjudgmental and educational environment.
