What’s Coming Up in Door County?

A Pre-Fall Fest meeting is scheduled for Sept. 11 at 5 pm in the Sister Bay Village Hall, and a representative from each organization or business participating in Fall Fest must attend. At the meeting, the Village of Sister Bay will issue beer and wine permits and the Sister Bay Advancement Association will issue tent permits to vendors. Call 920.854.3230 for more information.

At its August 13 meeting, the Ephraim Village Board will discuss changing its regularly scheduled meetings to the second Tuesday of each month instead of the second Monday of each month.

There will be a presentation of future downtown plans in Egg Harbor on July 24 at 6 pm at the Paul J Bertschinger Center.

The Sevastopol Historical Society will be hosting a July 30 presentation on the early history of the Glidden Drive area and the creation of Whitefish Dunes State Park.

John Brogan, a long time Glidden Drive resident and local historian, will take the audience on a journey beginning with Wisconsin’s initial statehood in 1848 and the important role Door County played with Civil War veterans.

The program is free and refreshments will be served. For more information, call Linda Wait at 920.746.1230 or Laddie Chapman at 920.743.8400.
