Winter Fest is Fish Creek’s Feel-Good Festival

Fish Creek’s annual Winter Festival turns 29 in 2016. From Feb. 5 – 7, visitors and locals from all walks of life will flock to the large, heated tent at Clark Park in Fish Creek to enjoy family-fun games (both on and off the ice), a chili-cook off, exciting stage events, fireworks, and much more.

Try your luck at the Wheel of Fortune or show your eccentric side during the snowshoe dance. Bigger than ever this year will be the ever-amusing Stumpf Fiddle Contest (where contestants can try their hand at one of the strangest instruments known to man) or simply kick back with a beer and a brat and enjoy this feel-good festival.

Saturday’s festivities culminate with a spectacular fireworks display over the bay of Green Bay at 5:30 pm; lighting up the white snow and crackling in the crisp winter air.

The festival wraps up on Sunday with the Froot Loop Fun Run/Walk, a 1/53rd marathon half-mile run/walk for anyone willing to dress up in a costume and show their Winter Festival spirit.

As always, the money raised from this event goes to several nonprofit organizations that help us make the Winter Festival dream a reality every year. For more information and to see a full schedule of events, visit visitfishcreek.com or call 920.868.2316.
