Woodwalk Theater Encourages Audience Participation

The second annual “Fractured Classics” event at Woodwalk Gallery/Theater is an adults only (language and bawdy behavior), just-for-the-fun-of-it combination of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Tony and Tina’s Wedding and the Greek 429 BC classics. Sing-Along Oedipus Rex or I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You will be performed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, June 4 – 6, 7 pm.

While the performance will be followed by a disco “ball” oldies-but-goodies reception, the audience is encouraged to participate during the performance, too. Attire appropriate to ancient Greece and/or an Elvis concert is welcome, and karaoke-style sing-along music will be provided by Music Masters, producing what has been called a chance to “sing in the shower with 70 other people and your clothes on.” Serving as the Greek chorus during the play, the audience sings such hits as “Unchained Melody,” “Such An Easy Question,” “”My Way,” and “Suspicious Minds.”

Starring Leif Erickson as Oedipus, Jennifer Erickson as Iocaste, and David Clowers as Teiresias. Margaret Lockwood and Allin Walker round out the cast in their supporting roles of Susan and David Morgan.

Tickets are $15 and reservations are encouraged.

Woodwalk Gallery/Theater is located at 6746 County Road G, two miles north of Carlsville and five miles south of Egg Harbor, just off Hwy 42. Woodwalk is fully accessible using the south (upper) entrance. Dress for the weather, as the theater is unheated. For tickets or more information call 920.868.2812.
