Year-end Awards Announced at Door County Board of Realtors Annual Meeting

The Door County Board of Realtors installed Gretchen Porten as the 2014 president.

At its annual meeting on Jan. 8, the Door County Board of Realtors announced Dan Lenius of ERA Starr Realty as the 2013 Realtor of the Year and Denise Plassmeyer as the 2013 Affiliate of the Year.

“I am overwhelmed, humbled and grateful with the honor of being named the 2013 Realtor of the Year for Door County,” stated Lenius. “Being a Realtor, as well as an appraiser, is a profession that I have been involved in for many years. I am so surprised for the recognition from my peers, friends and colleagues that I have worked with over the years.”

Plassmeyer, manager and senior closing agent of Title Services of Door County, was presented the award by Holly Thomas, the 2012 Realtor of the Year and a member of the Distinguished Service Awards committee.

“Denise is the outstanding example of what this award represents,” stated Thomas. “She is the first to arrive and the last to leave with the motivation to always get it right,” commented Thomas.
