PMF concertmaster Igor Yuzefovich and Principal Viola Joan DerHovsepian team up for the opening concert on Feb. 13. The concert will feature the music of Mozart, Villa-Lobos and Handel. DerHovsepian is the associate principal concertmaster of the Houston Symphony. The second concert of the 2016 February Fest on Feb. 20 will feature Principal Oboe Eric Olson and his wife, violist Ellen Olson. Arriving from Jacksonville, Florida, the duo, along with PMF pianist Judith Jackson will present a program featuring the music of Shatin, Beethoven, Clarke, Loeillet, Loeffler, Shulman and Saint-Saens.

The 2016 February Fest will come to a close on Feb. 27 with music inspired by the book The Light Keeper’s Legacy by Kathleen Ernst. This concert is a joint effort with Write On, Door County. The concert will include the music of Nielsen, Grieg, Berwald, Sibelius and Gade and will feature violinists Janet Sutter and Karen Nelson, both of the PMF orchestra as well as PMF pianist Judith Jackson.
