Community Foundation Announces Creation of Bayside Cemetery Charitable Fund

Bayside Cemetery and The Door County Community Foundation announce the Bayside Cemetery Charitable Fund, a fund created to preserve, protect, and maintain the historic Bayside Cemetery. Founded in 1876, Bayside Cemetery encompasses 27 pristine acres on Bay Shore Drive in the Town of Sevastopol, just north of the Sturgeon Bay city limits. Beautiful gravesites and professionally maintained grounds distinguish Bayside as one of the finest cemeteries in Door County. Having been in existence for more than 135 years, Bayside Cemetery is close to what people around the turn of the century thought a cemetery should be, namely, a green open space that could be considered uplifting and tranquil.
