Love On Holiday Performances Set for Feb. 12 & 13

Musicians will soon gather in Sturgeon Bay for Love On Holiday: Songs of Love and Love Gone Away. Songwriters will arrive on Feb. 7 and will stay at the Holiday Music Motel for seven nights. The songwriting event begins with the nightly “spin the bottle” for grouping songwriting partners. Writers will write and record their new song in 24 hours and will repeat the process nightly until the performances on Feb. 12 and 13 at Third Avenue Playhouse. Both performances will be held at 7:30 pm.

For the event, there will be two recording studios run by chief engineer Steve Hamilton (Making Sausage Studio, Milwaukee), Steve Smith (Chicago) and Barrett Tasky (Chicago). Also, local artists will submit works to be used as the muse/inspiration for the songwriters. Artists who submitted work are: Stephanie Trenchard, Jeremy Popelka, Joe Kaftan, Angela Lensch, Dan Collins and Teresa Young.
