Altrusa Back-to-School Fair Serves 600 Door County Kids

The Door County Community Foundation (DCCF) and the Women’s Fund have again generously supported Altrusa of Door County’s Back-to-School Program. Altrusan Cheri Meyvis applied to the DCCF for support in purchasing school supplies, and the Women’s Fund helped to maximize the learning experience for girls participating in the program. Held Aug. 3 at Sturgeon Bay Middle School, the fair served more than 600 Door County children in need by providing grade-appropriate school supplies, backpacks, gym shoes, school shirts and more.
