Annual Thomas Paine Dinner Features Mike McCabe

Mike McCabe, author of Blue Jeans in High Places: The Coming Makeover of American Politics and dynamic speaker, will be featured at the annual Thomas Paine dinner on May 28. McCabe’s resume includes a farming background and a professional lifetime of experience in politics, journalism, public sector management and nonprofit leadership. He served as executive director of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, a non-partisan watchdog group that has gained the attention of major national media for its ability to “follow the money.”
The annual Thomas Paine Dinner honors the memory of the American Revolution’s most articulate true progressive.
The dinner will be held at the Door County Fire Company at 38 S. Third Ave., Sturgeon Bay. Social hour is at 5:30 pm, with dinner at 6:30. The cost is $27.50, with checks made out to Door Dems up to May 21, sent to Door Dems, c/o John Franz, PO Box 618, Sister Bay, WI 54234. After May 21, and at the door, the cost is $35.
