Artrageous Benefit Supports Women, Girls

Support Door County women and girls by perusing and buying art, sipping wine and enjoying music during the Women’s Fund’s Artrageous Benefit (womensfunddoorcounty.org) on Sept. 18, 2 pm, at Hidden Acres Farm. More than 35 Door County women artists donated pieces to this free event, during which patrons can buy $5 lottery tickets to acquire an art piece for a $99 purchase price.

Featured artist Liz Maltman also donated a fun, colorful oil painting titled “Peony Party,” and the event will culminate with a raffle drawing for this piece. Raffle tickets specifically for Maltman’s piece will be sold during the event and in advance at the Kress Pavilion, Community Foundation and Maxwell’s House. Tickets are $10 each or $50 for six.

Wine donated by Firefly of Sister Bay will be available for purchase, and harpist Cheryl Murphy will provide music.

Artrageous will comply with CDC and Door County Health Department recommendations that are in place at the time of the event. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available.
