Baileys Harbor Native Juried into Krappy Kamera Exhibit

“Ghost Forest” by Arlene Stanger of Baileys Harbor has been juried into the 2016 International Krappy Kamera Competition at Soho Photo Gallery in New York, New York. All images had to be “photographs made with lousy lenses.”

“Ghost Forest” is a double exposure taken in Peninsula State Park with a Holga camera, a low-tech piece of equipment with absolutely no frills that is made in China. It is made of plastic, including the lens, and uses medium format 120 mm film. The exhibit will be held March 2 – April 2.

Arlene’s images have been juried into exhibits in Door County as well as Madison, California, Oregon and Texas. Recently one of her images was chosen for Black and White magazine’s 2016 photo contest Special Issue.
