Base Camp Presents “Spectacle of African Wild”

Keith and Ursula Leedy have been traveling the world for more than forty years. On Friday, May 9 at 7 pm, Keith and Ursula will present their trip to South Africa with a movie, Spectacle of the African Wild, at the Base Camp Coffee Bar on the lower level of Ecology Sports in Sister Bay.

In the last six months alone, the Leedys have been to Africa twice. The first time they tracked chimpanzees and mountain gorillas in Uganda, and the second time, they visited the magnificent Ngorogoro Crater and the wildebeest migration in the Serengeti.

In March 2008, the Leedys were in Chile’s Atacama Desert – the world’s driest desert – and tried to unravel the mysteries of the monoliths on Easter Island.

For the last twenty years, Keith has produced videos of their adventures and shared them with local groups. The Spectacle of the African Wild recounts a journey taken in January of 2006 to the southern African countries of Zambia, Botswana, and Namibia.

In addition to showing of Spectacle of the African Wild, Keith and Ursula will be present to answer questions on May 9.
